Hiking parque ejidal San Nicolas Totolapan park in Mexico City

In the Southern part of Mexico City we can find the amazing Parque Ejidal San Nicolas Totolapan, in the national park Ajusco, around 45 minutes from the historic city center.

The San Nicolás Totolapan Ejidal Park was inaugurated in 1998, it is a natural reserve of approximately 2,300 hectares of temperate forest; it is the perfect place to admire nature.

The San Nicolás Totolapan Ejidal Park is an initiative of the inhabitants of Magdalena Contreras and Tlalpan to do nature tourism in a more respectful way within the ecosystem.

The main natural attractions that may be relevant for ecotourism activities are the majestic and well-preserved temperate forests, the more than 100 kilometers of trails, places and sites of great scenic beauty, and its cool and pleasant climate most of the year.

You can either explore the lower part or the upper part of San Nicolas Totolapan. An amazing place, still in Mexico City, to escape the crowds and enjoy nature at its best. With a small group and with a local certified bilingual guide who can show you the best places and explain more about this amazing place its safer and more fun.
