Kayaking in Xochimilco in Mexico City

In the Southern part of Mexico City we can find the UNESCO world heritage site of Xochimilco, around 1 hour from the historic city center. Most people go to the central party part, but we prefer for the moment its still virgen nature reserve.

Xochimilco, with its amazing canals and chinampa system, as a vestige of the area’s prehispanic past, has made Xochimilco a World Heritage Site. There are around 170 km (110 mi) of canals, the nature reserve is the most virgen part of Xochimilco.

Here we can first take a 30 minute training on how to use the kayak and receive the safety instructions. We then can enjoy a 2.5 hours guided kayak trip through this amazing nature reserve in Xochimilco an at the end we can take a 1.5 hours boat trip in a traditional Trajinera. Certified bilingual guide. Let´s explore México together, far away from the crowds, applying social distancing. Facemasks mandatory on the peer and Trajinera boat.
