Atlixco – Jardín Magico

In Atlixco (Pueblo Mágico), we can first visit its beautiful gardens at ´Jardín Mágico; only 10 minutes from the town center of Atlixco and at around 2 hour 15 minutes from Mexico City. In Jardín Mágico (Magic Garden) we can find a Botanical Garden, with more than 40 sculptures made with plants and flowers and rose bushes that are over 80 years old. You can get to know the French and Japanese mini-gardens and you can visit the orchidarium and see the beautiful artificial lake.

Atlixco – Historical city center

At only 10 minutes driving from Jardín Magico, we can explore the beautiful town center of Atlixco with several colonial buildings. In the Palacio Municipal we can enjoy amazing murals that explain the history of this beautiful little village and in front the small square with a beatiful kiosko. Through colorful streets we then can walk up to the Monastery Señora del Carmen and admire the colorful steps on the way.

Chipilo

Nearby, at only 30 minutes by car from Atlixco, we can explore Chipilo, the most Italian – Mexican village, with many inhabitants originally coming from Italy. Here we can try some of the best Italian cheese, food and deserts !

Huejotzingo

A around 40 minutes from Chipilo, on our way back to Mexico City, we can explore Huejotzingo, another Pueblo Mágico, famous for its amazing fruit ciders and another beautiful colonial town center.
